Jumping into freelance writing can be tricky. Where to start? What to write? Who to connect with? Luckily for you, I’ve gone through my bookmarks and picked out the best sites for freelancers. In no particular order:
Freelancers Union: Started by Sara Horowitz, Freelancers Union is full of advice and tips for independent contractors. The blog is great but I really love the Resources and Community sections.
Freelance Writing Jobs: Every day Freelance Writing Jobs editor Noemi Twigg digs through all the freelance writing job and brings them to you in one handy post.
Make a Living Writing: Carol Tice wants to help writers grow their income. Spend hours reading her entertaining and informative articles about launching a freelance writing career, and while you’re there, check out her free stuff section.
The Write Life: Anything and everything you want to know about freelancing can be found on The Write Life. With sections dedicated to Marketing, Blogging, Publishing, and Craft, you’ll find plenty of information to help boost your business.
Elna Cain: In the interest of full disclosure, I must admit I purchased Elna’s course and am a member of her community. But she really is one of the best resources for beginning freelance writers out there and I cannot recommend her courses and articles enough.
There you have it! My favorite freelance writing websites. What are yours?
